Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer famous for the roles she performed on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor as well as a producer and director. She works in television and film. Her career began acting in the theatre and then went on to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. The actress gained prominence for her role as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made an appearance on BET's epic television series The Book of Negroes. In 1995 she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In terms of her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. The role she played as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
